Whilst football is our natural home, occasionally we find a compelling reason to tell stories from other sports.

Through a special partnership with the Rugby League World Cup 2021 we celebrated the tournament's incredible diversity - featuring players from Men's, Women's, and Wheelchair teams across the globe.

We set out to offer a candid, intimate and often unseen view into the world of rugby league and the players’ own personal journeys to the tournament.

From Jamaica, Brazil, and Lebanon through to Greece, New Zealand, and the Cook Islands, we offered a window into the lives of players as they have prepared for one of the biggest events of their lives.

These stories were published across RLWC and Goal Click channels and showcased at an exhibition to kick off the start of the tournament.
