90min: Faces Of Football

90min had the ambition to create a unique fan-focused editorial series that could help them stand out from the saturated media landscape during the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Our brief was to find one fan storyteller from each of the 32 competing nations at the tournament. Activating Goal Click’s vast global network, we executed a fast-paced, extensive casting process, presenting 90min with multiple options for each nation.

Within just three weeks, we had assembled an eclectic group of 32 storytellers. From the man who designs flags for Argentina's tifo and a Saudi women’s footballer and superfan, to an American couple who have attended a combined 257 USMNT matches in 18 countries.

The result was 'Faces of Football’, telling diverse stories of global fandom and journeys supporting national teams through photography, video and written word; becoming part of 90min’s best ever performing campaign.

The content was shared across 500+ other global sports publications who used the content to support their own World Cup coverage.
