Are you a passionate Sunderland fan in Australia who lives and breathes everything Sunderland?

We are casting for a new documentary with Guinness and the Premier League for the Newcastle v Sunderland match on Sunday 22 March, and are looking for a dedicated Sunderland supporter who brings the club’s spirit to life in Australia.

Whether you are watching matches with close friends, have become part of a local fan group, or simply love the energy of match days, we want to hear your story.

Who are we looking for?

We want to hear from big Sunderland fans who make match day a full experience. Your day may start with a five-a-side kickabout, a meetup at your favourite bar, or a big social gathering that celebrates Sunderland fan culture.

​​We are especially interested in fans who rally their friends and fellow fans and keep the community buzzing. Whether you have been following the team for years, have unforgettable memories of big Sunderland moments, or own an amazing collection of memorabilia, this is your chance to show the world the strength of Sunderland’s fanbase in Australia and celebrate what the club means to you.

What do you have to do if you are selected?

If you are shortlisted, we will ask you to send us a short video submission.

If selected, you (and your group) will be filmed by a small crew and presenter as you enjoy the match on Sunday 22 March and cheer on Sunderland.

Fans will be notified of selection no later than Tuesday 3 March.

What do you receive if you are selected?

If selected, you will be compensated for your participation.

Reasonable travel expenses will be covered.

Are there any requirements you must meet to apply?

You must:

  • Be a Sunderland fan.

  • Be at least 25 years old.

  • Be Australian and based in Australia.

  • Be comfortable being filmed in your local area or at home, if needed.

  • Be available for one day of filming on Sunday 22 March, with possible filming the day before as well.

  • Have plans to watch the fixture on the afternoon of Sunday 22 March.

  • Be comfortable with being filmed for alcohol-related content.

  • Be comfortable with the content being shared on Premier League and Guinness social media channels.
