Liverpool Fans

Are you a passionate Liverpool supporter based in Japan? We are looking for a local fan — or group of fans — to welcome a fan from overseas and share what it means to be part of the global Liverpool family.

This December, a Liverpool supporter from Ireland will travel to Japan as part of a documentary for the Premier League, in partnership with Guinness, for the Liverpool v Brighton match on 13 December, and we are looking for Japanese fans to be their local guides.

Together, you will experience the best of your region, whether that is doing adventure sports, relaxing in an onsen, or enjoying a local ramen, and then cheering on the Reds at night.

Who are we looking for?

We want to meet fans who live and breathe football, who can show how their passion for Liverpool fits into their everyday life and culture. Whether you watch matches with friends in a local pub drinking Guinness, or wear your Liverpool scarf on the ski slopes, we want to see how the club spirit thrives in your part of Japan.

If you love the club, love your hometown, and are excited to share your culture with another supporter, we would love to hear from you.

What do you have to do if you are selected?

If you are shortlisted, we will ask you to send us a short video submission.

If selected, you will be filmed on the day before the match and on match day by a small crew. You will showcase your region of Japan to a Liverpool fan visiting from Ireland and enjoy the Liverpool v. Brighton match on 13 December* together.

Fans will be notified of selection no later than Thursday, 13 November.

* Match date subject to change, so you must be available for two days of filming between the dates of 11 - 15 December.

What do you receive if you are selected?

If selected, you will be compensated for your participation.

Reasonable travel expenses will be covered.

Are there any requirements you must meet to apply?

  • Be a Liverpool fan.
