Premier League Fans in Nigeria

We are casting for Season 3 of A Lovely Day with Guinness, a documentary series exploring Premier League fandom around the world, and are currently looking for Premier League fans from Nigeria.

Get a feel for the series and meet the fans in Japan and Jamaica from previous seasons.

This season, we want to hear from fans of Premier League clubs who come together to watch matches in remote or unexpected parts of Nigeria, beyond Lagos. We want to know what supporting your club looks like where you live: the hidden rituals and matchday traditions you share, the effort you make to catch a match, and the people who make it special.

Who are we looking for?

Are you part of a football-loving community in a village or town, in a more remote region, or somewhere people might be surprised to find passionate Premier League fans?

Perhaps you travel miles to watch together, gather around the only screen nearby or maybe you and your friends have found your own unique way to keep up to date with matches.

Whether you meet in someone’s home, a local café or a gathering place with incredible surroundings, we would love to hear how a club thousands of miles away has become part of life in your community.

You do not necessarily need to run a supporters’ club or have a large following. We are interested in your story, the people you share football with, and what your club means to you.

What do you have to do if you are selected?

If you are shortlisted, we will reach out directly for more information and ask you to send us a short video introducing yourself and your group.

If selected, you will be filmed by a small crew as we explore your life as a supporter, your connection to your club, and the people and places that are part of your football community.

Filming will take place in May 2027.

You will need to be comfortable communicating with the production team in English, although you may speak your preferred language on camera.

Fans will be notified of selection in Spring 2027.

What do you receive if you are selected?

Details of the participation fee or rewards, and arrangements for reasonable travel expenses, will be confirmed by the production team.

Are there any requirements you must meet to apply?

You must:

  • Be a passionate fan of a Premier League club.

  • Be at least 25 years old.

  • Be based in Nigeria.

  • Have availability during the proposed filming period in May 2027.

  • Have sufficient English proficiency to take part in casting conversations and communicate with the production team.

  • Be comfortable being filmed for Guinness-branded content involving alcohol and within environments serving alcohol.

  • Be comfortable with the content being shared publicly, including on Guinness and Premier League digital and social media channels (including YouTube and Instagram), subject to the participation agreement.
